In addition, there was no action taken by the Clinton administration
against the Cuban officials attacking American citizens on American soil,
not even a protest. The whole thing appears to have been swept under the
rug. (Hardly surprising, though, insofar as another recent incident
involving Mexican soilders crashing through a chain-link fence and firing
upon Border Patrol agents has also been swept under the rug.)
