Prost confidence increases

(7-Oct-98) - The mood at Prost Grand Prix has improved after the team
tested a development car with a new Peugeot engine and a new gearbox at
Magny-Cours yesterday.

An official press release from the team started with the line: "We are
optimistic!"

The team has struggled with their AP01 this year and numerous developments
have done little to change the poor handling characteristics of the car.

Olivier Panis test yesterday resulted in the first positive feedback the
team have had for some time. The car was taken apart completely and no
mechanical faults were found adding to the team's good mood.

Testing continues today and Thursday.
