 a long time ago... when I was still using a 14.4 modem... Those programs
 always becomes kinda wacky when run under some kind of multi-tasking OS.
 However, I think that the "CPS multipiler" feature in some comm program
 might be the cause for this... a good stopwatch will end all that
 arguement... :)
