It only needs to be in the path if you want to start from anywhere by typing
GEOS20. However, you can overcome this by placing the GEOS20.BAT file in
your DOS directory (which is normally in the path) and adding these lines to
the beginning of it:
C: (assuming C: is the hard drive with Ensemble on it)
CD\GEOS20
Now DOS will search for an executable called GEOS20, find it in the DOS
directory and carry out the commands in the batch file, the first two
lines of which log onto the correct drive and change to the directory
where LOADER is.
This technique can be used to start all sorts of programs, but can waste
a fair amount of space on large hard drives if you create a lot of batch
files. In this case there is no space penalty as you are simply relocating
an existing batch file.
