Yep, the SuperCharger is the same as yours - essentially a "computer"
without keyboard or monitor, about 8"x6"x2" that plugs into the DMA.
My dad has been thinking about going the DOS box route for years, since
a lot of the busiess he does requires DOS/Win. The Supercharger has
allowed him to put off that decision for a while, but most programs
nowadays require Windows (soon Win95) which the SC can't run.
The attraction of the SC I guess is that the Atari is still in use and
"in charge," plus less desk space is used by just one computer.
He already has Gemulator 4, so its just a matter of time before he
springs for a Pentium machine. The Atari will still get lots of use
though. In fact, we now have six Atari computers in this family:
1040ST, Mega 4 ST, Mega 4 STE, and a TT, plus an old 800 and 600XL and
Jaguar.
I get a lot of use from the TT, writing and DTP part time, so I'm in no
hurry to switch.
Regards,
Chris
