OXP has context-sensitive Help.  Press F1 at any particular place to get  
help on that place/feature.

For example, when you are at the main screen that shows your echo list:

  OpenXP  Re-Org  Message  Netcall  Fido  Edit  Config  Tools  ?
  All  Write  Text  Bin  Special  Seek  Show: all

   /¯Statistics
   /¯Unsent
 ¯ /FIDO/POINTS

  ...highlight the echo where you want to Write a message, and press  
W)rite.
