I have a few of those, too. They are supposed to be bad because the kids
(all 4 kids here have a TV, DVD/VHS player in their rooms and when one of
them tells their dad that something is wrong with it, he simply buys
another one for them without checking the device. They all have cell
phones, which I think is ridiculous, but it isn't my call and I don't
interfere. I have a difficult enough time trying to live my own life
without even attempting to live someone else's. Anyway, I gather up the
alledgedly bad DVD/VHS players and have them in a cabinet in my room,
should one of my devices go bad.

We have two of those here and they are full. My daughter rents a storage
cubicle nearby and I could put some of my unneeded stuff in there.

Probably imported.

RW> Depending on the quantity, they were either 25 cents or 32 cents each.

The price of bolts, nuts and washers in a hardware store are just as
ridiculously priced and as you said, there is a "savings" if you
buy in quantity. I'm often tempted to ask if they give 2 per cent off for
cash. (-:
