All I knew was that I never suffered the kazillion RW> times I slept on a couch or in a chair, waiting for my parents to end RW> their good time visiting my aunt and uncle. When it was time to go home, RW> dad carried me to the car and put me in bed when we did get home. No big RW> deal, but she made it one. And that's the way it was in my family, at least the parts I remember because I was so young. My mother used to take us to the movies often, which is how I became a movie buff, I think, and I remember to this day falling asleep on the bus ride home. How she and my sister got me off the bus and into bed must have been a task for them. It's really weird how having a baby will adversely affect the metabolism of some women and not others. Jayne Mansfield gave birth to 5, Patricia Neal 5 and Jeanne Crain 7. All three women I admired greatly -- especially Crain. Even my grandparents had larrge families; one side was 10 and the other 7. My maternal grandmother was a wonderful woman and giving birth to her 10 kids seemingly had no affect on her. Regards, Roger ... I saw Elvis.
