  U.P. had to cancel its fall steam excursions behind the 844 due to
congestion along its line...they're hoping to reschedule them early next
year.

  There was a big article in USA Today on Oct. 14...a strike is looming
that could shut down the entire Amtrak system, and several commuter
railroads on Oct. 22.
