Hello Mike!

-> If you are talking about your house wiring, check your state and
-> local codes. But I would go with 12-2 romex, 12-3 for split or
-> double curcits.
MF> Are those twisted pair?
I'm sorry mike, I should have realized you were talking about phone
wiring. :) I've been remodeling my house the last several months and have
house wiring on my mind.
Your local home hardware store should have some 4 conductor 24 gage
solid copper phone cable. Be sure to get the one that is "rated for in
wall use", not the modular phone cable. The former is a little more
expensive than the latter but it has a thicker insulator jacket, cost is
about 20 cents a foot.
Also, be sure to use "crimp connectors" for all of your
branching/splicing. Check your connections by giving a slight tug on the
wires, they should stay tight.
