        Hello, all!  My name is Jeff Mach, and, due to what was
originally thought to be the influence of a wicked fairy named
"Bajthrwoombah", but was later found to be the direct result of a
misdecision on the part of my parents dealing with a nickel-plated
apple labled "Kallisti", I grew upwards to found something called the
Rutgers University Rocky Horror Picture Show Club.

        Through various coercive devices not necessarily excluding the
dreaded Tibetan guacamole-Hrothgar maneuvre (all together: "NO!  Not
the dreaded Tibetan guacamole-Hrothgar maneuvre!"), we have managed to
hornswaggle the university into giving us an inordinately large amount
of money for the purposes of putting on (and here we finally come to
the meat of this post):

        "The Interstellar Countercultural-Cultural Convention and
Conference", or "FlerthioroloogazyphricnotLOOviak", for short.  

        The target dates are May 2nd and 3rd, 1997.  That's a Friday
and a Saturday...running late into the nights...

        It's a convention for all things unusual, extraordinary, or
otherwise non-mundane, encompassing The Rocky Horror Picture Show,
Discordia, gonzo of all sorts, SCAdian things, SF, and a bunch of
other things.  It's also a mixture of academia and intoxication, with
professors from several different universities on panels with people
like the Reverand Ivan Stang, Uncle Floyd, (possibly--we have a
tentative booking but aren't sure if we can afford his honorarium)-- 
Robert Anton Wilson, and others.

        There will also be a wide variety of vendors of all shapes and
sizes; lots and lots of cult movies; a wide assortment of performers,
activities, demonstrations, games, speakers, unusual foods, et hoc
genus omni...

        ..and, of course, filking!

        We're looking for filkers of all sorts, shapes, and sizes, for
attendance in any number of capacities.

        I'm not quite sure exactly how to go about advertising...so I
figured I'd post a message and see what happened...(thanks to Bruce
for the advice. :)        


        At any rate, feel free to e-mail me, or, if it's
newsgroup-discussable, post something to this group...I'll be
'round. *grin*
