Visitors to WDW's Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island
will be pleased to see the there is now food in the club!
There are no full course meals or anything, but plenty to
stave off your hunger as you delight in the antics of the
club membership.
There's Graves' (the Butler) famous Garden Greens, Samantha
Sterling's (Itinerant Adventurer Woman) Mango and
Polynesian Passion Fruit Soup, Fletcher Hodges' (Club
Curator) Fruit and Cheese, Club President Pamelia Perkins
serves up egg rolls, Treasurer Otis T. Wren offers a Triple
Decker Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich and the Maid's
choice of the day, Petite Fours.
But, I'm most stoked about the return of a particular food
item to a Disney menu, and the honor of bringing said item
back into mainstream culture where the brave of heart and
triumphant in spirit can relish it for as long as Disney
continues to offer it, goes to dashing Club Aviator
Hathaway Browne, for delivering unto us....
Spicy Hot Gator Bites!
That's right, for $4.75, you can get an order of GATOR,
smoked and seasoned and served with a special sweet and
spicy sauce.
They used to have these at Olivia's over at the Disney
Vacation Club, only to be saved by Hathaway and brought
kicking and flailing into the club.  8=-)
The appetizers are just one of the many changes going on at
the club.  Special "beer voting" takes place as well as
some new Club members that we've never met before, like
Beauregard Browne, Hathaway's "evil" twin, who wears green
and RED instead of green and WHITE and likes to play nasty
jokes on people.  There are even official non-permanent club
tatoos that the members will gladly offer to stick on you.
It's a move to re-energize the Adventurer's Club and it
seems to be working!  Next time you're down there, be sure
to "toast Teddy", grab something other than Crunch 'n Munch
to eat and get ready for some new entertainment!
