We've been watching BBCAmerica's version of The Choir and we're 
wondering just how truncated the American version is.  I know what we're 
seeing is a short version of each of three separate series--my question 
is, how long was each series in the UK and just how much of it are we 
missing here?

We're mostly interested in how Gareth manages to teach the basics of 
music to these kids (granted, some of them already do know how to read 
music and there may be other skills they've already learned) in such a 
short time.

It just seems that what we're seeing here is heavily edited, and that 
we're probably missing quite a bit.
