Yo! Steve!
Didn't get over to Fort Lauderdale this past winter...had hoped to
drop in and see you... The three months spent at our place in Naples
was not the best of times with the "Red Tide". Spent little time at
the beach. A lot of respiratory problems, many wore masks.Public told
if living on the beach ...keep windows closed and AC on, the same with
cars when driving along the beach road. The last time I saw that many
dead fish washed up on shore was on the West coast after an oil spill.
Five people in Hospital in one week stepping on dead fish and have
dorsal spines removed. Over 70 Mantatee washed up in just over one
month. It was not a good holiday for many of the kids on Spring Break
or for the Ol' Snow Birds (like us) (g).
Was there anything your way?? Haven't checked out with friends up
Panama City Beach way. I understand this can occur once evry five
years.
I read many of your msgs in the Scuba Echo, those I find of interest
pass to our son, who was CPO1 with the Fleet Diving Unit now Director
for Diving Safety for the Canadian Forces.
