subject: Where`s my cotton batting

Hi Valerie!
-=> Quoting Valerie Murphy to Wendy Buchanan <=-
VM> I have lots of allergy problem and recently they have been really bad
VM> so I started taking my allergy pills again. I seem to be having more
VM> klutzy experiences in the last week than I've had in a long time. I'm
VM> thinking the medicine MAY have someting to do with it.
Allergies have been terrible this year. The ragweed pollen was
so bad everyone who was allergic to it was either calling their
doctors, or even going to the emergency room unable to breathe
at all! It's been very bad. Even Tom was sneezing and he does
not usually have a problem like that.
VM> I got "wapped" by a shopping cart, in my shin a couple days ago and
VM> now I can hardly walk. My poor shin is black and blue and swollen and
VM> hurts like crazy. I need to get somemore cotton batting to wrap
 VM> around myself for protection.
You need to watch out for those carts--and especially when it's
social security check time...those little old people can really
whack you one! I try to stay out of the stores till after the
5th of the month unless it's an emergency, and then I go later
at night. I've been nearly wasted by so many elderly people who
can't see where they are going or steer the carts right. I love
older people but they can also hurt a person badly, or get hurt
themselves.
VM> WB³ I'm going to get the rubber stamps and stuff out and see what I
VM> WB³ can do with the calligraphy pen and some embossing ink. I want
VM> WB³ to make my own verses for inside cards, etc.
Well it didn't work. The embossing ink was too thick. Maybe I
will try to thin it down and make another attempt...later!
When I get my patience back...
VM> Today at the store I work in I had to restock the stamp shelves. It
VM> is always a dangerous time for me. I just can't resist those stamps,
VM> especially since they are 25% off and I get another 15% over that.
VM> Someday I may even have time to stamp again. All these stamps and so
 VM> little time (sigh).
Hahaha, that's the way I feel sometimes too. I have a new stamp
of two teddy bears sitting back to back, and it's quite large.
I want to try making a framed "picture" with them and my new
liquid applique pen...it's brown and will make their fur stand
out so neat! I'm going to work on that this afternoon, I think.
VM> Last night I was trying to make a "twisty ribbon rose". I don't get
VM> it. I can't seem to make it come out right and I don't know what I'm
VM> doing wrong. All the books that I use for instructions are so awful.
VM> They just don't seem to understand that I'm a beginner and I know
VM> NOTHING about this stuff. "Ho-Hum".
Well that's no help! Maybe someone on here who does ribbon
embroidery can help you. I know Sara Goldstein was doing it,
but can't remember who else. Memory just like a slab of swiss
cheese here again lately. It must be old age!
LadyBear Hugs,
Wendy
... I'm locked inside a teddy bear factory. Do NOT send help! 8-)
