DR>> First thing that you will need is a static IP address.
DR>> So using an AOL, or CIS or MSN is not going to work.
RD> Who can I get this service from? What does it cost? Can I use a
standard
RD> phone connection or do I need to install ISDN?
You would get the Service from a local ISP, for example I use VNET. I will
see what I can find in your area.
What does it cost? Mine cost's $29.95 a month
You can use a standard modem connection. You might however want to look into
Cable Modems and ADSL in your area.
DR>> Second you will need a virtual modem driver. It looks
DR>> like you are using the DOS version of Maximus. You have
DR>> three choices, run the BBS under Windows 95, run the
DR>> BBS under OS/2 or Run the BBS under Windows NT
DR>> (preferred ). There might be some way to do this
DR>> under DOS, but I am not aware of it.
RD> I'm running Max/DOS under WIN95.
OK no problem there...
