Beyond Earth-Style Security
Everyone wants security. While in human form, you will probably seek
emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and financial security. If
you've been alive for more than a few days, however, you quickly learn
that earth-style security is an oxymoron. 
In the security game, you're like a tennis ball bouncing from one side of
the court to the other. Being insecure, you seek security. Once you've
become secure, you can feel insecure as you clutch the object of your
security. You clutch, because instinctively you know that security is
ownership. And ownership is a temporary state. Even our bodies are on
short-term loan. In practice, you can experience periods - perhaps decades
- of relative security. In the third dimension, however, everything comes
and goes. It's the law. Here are a couple of examples.
For emotional security, you can have the perfect mate. Eventually, one of
you will leave, if not by choice, by circumstance. For physical security,
you watch your diet, eat many vitamins, and take karate. Walking your
poodle, a rogue Chevy jumps the curb. You (and Fifi) become history.
Pursuing security is natural for third-dimensional creatures; the
planetary consciousness has programmed it into our cells. Yet, *the quest
itself* is a vampire that preys on anxious emotional, mental, and physical
energy. 
When you identify yourself as a mortal consciousness and base security on
form and idea, you are subject to these rules. You have, however, another
alternative, another identity. As a point of conscious Light in a human
body, you are an immortal consciousness. From this perspective, you are
in, yet beyond, the relativity of earth security. You're not emotions.
You're not mind or body. 
Spiritual security is a cosmic joke at this level. Can you, as an eternal
spirit - the essence of life itself - be insecure? It's ironic: once you
quit playing the security game, you become secure. In the big picture,
nothing (or everything) is yours. 
As a mortal consciousness, security is at best tentative. As an immortal
consciousness, insecurity is at worst an illusion. 
In Light, we are one.
