subject: Required Assistance

TR> EN> The law in Texas requiring assistance when asked is not enforceable
TR> EN> since there is no penalty clause in it. Failure to assist is against
TR> EN> the law but you can't be penalized.
TR>If you have reasonable grounds, can you issue a lawful order instead and
TR>involve a penalty if they don't comply in assisting? The law and concepts
in
TR>the law are very interesting. I guess the first question would be why have
TR>the law if it is not enforceable and has no penalty? It's nice to hear
rom
TR>you.
I have wondered for thirty years why that law is on the books. It has
been the same ever since I started in this business. I have never had a
time when I didn't get as much, or more, assistance as I needed.
