From what I understand, there are two different ways of schooling your
children at home. One is merely having "school at home"....a planned
curriculum, studies, written work requirements, etc. The other appears to be
the opposite....the child learns in a more natural way, what he wants to
learn, hands-on...not in a desk-blackboard-written work requirements sort of
manner...."unschooling".
I personally think a midstream approach would be appropriate for
homeschooling - for some things, ya just "gotta" sit down and work at it
(grammar, writing, spelling). For other things, tho, the project or
just-do-it approach would work well....science comes to mind here.
