Hello Jasen!
Quoting Jasen's message:

JB> ooh... (I guess I guessed wrong)
It does not matter that you guess that wrong, the facts that you gave me
about what was being loaded at boot-up directed me in the right path... ;)
RB>> I just used it because it was being used by MS-DOS v7.0 when I tested

JB> whatever)
I don't know what the second /D switch does but I know that the regular
AUTOEEXEC.BAT is ot loaded...
RB>> C:\4DOS @C:\4DOS\4DOS.INI /F /D /K C:\4DOSEXEC.BTM /D /K AUTOEXEC

JB> It seems that the O/S puts it in (^^^) to kill the regular boot process,

I have check what was put during the boot-up process and, no matter what is
being done, MS-DOS v7.0 puts the "/D /K AUTOEXEC".
JB> Maybe /D stops a primary shell from booting "autoexec"
It appears so...
Thanks anyway for the information you gave me.
Sincerely, Raymond Beriau.
