Yes, it did. That incident was in March of 2005. I think they would have
allowed it if the case could be locked, but there isn't much in the way of
outlets within a short distance of MSY and time was short. That's the
first time I was asked to remove my shoes before a flight. I recall asking
the guy if he was sure he wanted me to take my shoes off, so when all I got
from him was a quizzical expression, I let him off the hook and removed my
shoes.
