Why not?  Republican and Democrat are just party designations, not
descriptions of political philosophies, the way Liberal, Conservative,
and Libertarian are.  There are certainly libertarians in the Republican
Party.  Ron Paul, who was the Libertarian Presidential candidate in
1988, is running for Congress as a Republican this year.
Ron's values and beliefs haven't changed, just his tactics.
**SOME** libertarians have woken up to the fact that **IF** you want to
govern, you first have to get elected.
