WY>Rezoning may take away your sanctuary, Jane, but it may increase
WY>your property value many folds. If your 10 acres is subdivided
WY>into city lots 50 by 100 feet as my cottage in Bellingham is,
WY>you're sitting on a gold mine. However, money will not buy peace
WY>and serenity, although you maybe able to buy a small island.
I live inside a river canyon, and, I am going to get very, very wet if
this insane development goes through. The real estate developers around
here came up from CA where there was desert land. They insist upon
building the same kind of buildings on very wet soil. They insist upon
keeping the water from going back into the acquifer with asphalt and
concrete where trees and grass once grew.
That means we have surface water flooding along with a decrease in the
level of water in our wells.
Which leads to the burning question: "Where do the idiots who don't
understand all of this plan on getting their water in the next century?"
