This is for the Presbyterians (and others concerned) among us:

The Permanent Judicial Commission of the Presbyterian Church (USA) has
handed down two rulings which can be considered good news for those of us
advocating for all.

1. A candidate for ministry can remain a candidate even after annoucing
that he or she is gay.

2. Presbyterian ministers may perform holy union ceremonies, as long as
they do not claim that they are "marriages".

A third ruling on allowing a presbytery to allow an exemption to
Constitutional requirements (read Amendment "B") has been
deferred until after General Assembly in Long Beach.
