several things have been slowly happening.
1. Many BBS users have drifted away from BBSing and are now using the
   Internet.
2. Many BBS's have gone down do low usage, since many users have
   switched to the Internet.
I'm fit into both of the above. While I haven't been calling BBS's for
several years, I did run Xanth BBS for several years, until I closed it
down several months back.
I now use the Web for most of my file searches etc and only read the
Aquarium echo about once a week.
Have noticed that the messages in the echo have shrunk to about
10 or so a week, from over 10 a day.
I've decided to drop out of FIDO Net in the near future. So If anyone
wants to to become the moderator Let me know, if more then 1 wants the
job, I'll start the annual election.
