Honda hints at 2000 return

(24-Oct-98) - Honda President Fioyuki Yoshino said yesterday that he hoped
the company would return to Formula 1 next year but it would probably be in
2000.

He confirmed that two-prototypes would be completed by the end of the month
whilst Honda engineers were focussing on producing a racing chassis.
Yoshino also said the company would make an official announcement as to the
date of the company's return to the sport.

"Some see it as only risky and expensive. I deeply believe our
experience in racing competition is a basic reason for Honda's
success." Yoshino told the press.
