*** Quoting Paul Gallaway from a message to Carol Shenkenberger ***
-> Grin, anyone in Norfolk area who knows what to do with a *big*
-> goldfish ready for the pond, has a person who will give him/her free
-> to a good home! Estimated 6.5 inches long and growing rapidly.
-> General looking 'goldfish' build. Seems friendly with the smaller
-> regular folks in the tank.
PG> Carol, I have 4 of the big "goldfish". They're called Comits. And
PG> they always seem to get along with other fish, both large & small.
PG> But, they really like to chow down on plants. :)
Grin, thanks. I think by accident, he is a Coi? I went back to the place I
bought him and they are now registering that some sort of mixup happened
(before being sent to them I might add). Not knowing any better, I suspect I
have a 'baby Coi'.
Now, I'm no expert by a long shot! many the looks rule that out? He looks
just like a large version of the traditional non-fantail 'gold' goldfish.
Comets I thought were small fast versions of the traditional non-fantail
pe?
Humm. (The store I deal with, has not been posed this question so dont blame
them for my ignorance. The tank he was in, have several different looking
fish from spotted calico to moors). They may not know however as they do not
deal with large pond fish, which means the average worker there problably has
no training in identifying same unless they can lead me to a book to check
