RJT>JE> Roy, most cars with serpentine belts have a square hole in the RJT>JE> tension pulley bracket that will allow you to easily use a RJT>JE> 1/2" drive flex handle or ratchet RJT>A breaker bar in my case. Nothing else I have would be quite long enough. RJT>JE> to remove the tension on the belt so as to remove the belt so RJT>JE> you can spin the alternator pulley to check for noise. When done RJT>JE> the belt can easiely be reinstalled in just a few seconds. RJT>Which is why I have both the belt and the breaker bar in the trunk. Now all I RJT>need is some weather that's conducive to working on vehicles. It's too cold RJT>out there at this point. From the looks of the recent weather reports you had better pray that things last till at least early spring. :-) Jay --- þ OLXWin 1.00b þ Over my dead... er, I mean, over my strong objection!"* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/1 379/1 633/267 |
