There are some differences. We use "our" instead of
"or" -- colour, favour, neighbour -- and we don't use that
abominable American abbreviation, "lite" and use
"light" instead.
However, I've never had any difficulty in making myself known in the U.S.
and most Americans have no problems in Canada.
