Ok, I can understand that.  However, right now we are in a situation because we
can't move forward without breaking their stuff.  So how do we solve this?
BEcause otherwise we will just sit here for years (like it has been) waiting
for what?

I don't know the answer, but it seems like somehow we need to start a dialogue.
Even if we just use Google Translate to send out the first SOS.
