I've heard people say one day at a time is the only way to go. Sometimes its 
one hour at a time, or even one minute at a time if you really have to.

Has he helped in the past?  Perhaps this judge will help in your present 
effort at staying sober.

Personally, if I found myself standing in front of a judge I would have to 
say things were serious indeed!  Behaviour that leads one into conflict with 
the law has to be considered serious.
At least you are on a path that now seems to be leading you in a much better 
direction.  One day at a time, and I am sure that you will find yourself much 
further down that path.  Lets hope the judge can help you along the way :-).
