I have always felt that when the preacher/minister/priest has a higher standard
of living & annual income than most of those in the pews, there's a serious
problem!

I think the minister should be paid $1.00/year less than the poorest congregant
-- and any additional revenues the church takes in over that, and what's needed
for overhead expenses, should go to helping elevate the positions of the
lowliest congregants. . .

If the minister wants a raise, then he'd better work & pray diligently towards
the poorer members of the congregation having a better standard of living!
