Hi All,
[2 computers both running W95, using the build in networing]
How should i address a drive if that drive needs to be accessed from both
machines using the same path ?
I used to assign a network common driveletter with my former NOS, but that no
longer works using W95's build in networking, it refuses to accept e.g.
assignment of driveletter q: for a local drive c:, assigning driveletter q:
for a remote HD works fine. I can use a "subst q: c:\" for the HD, but W95
does not allow the CD rom to be substituted.
I also tried to access the drive like this : "\\comserver\hd\..." this works
for some (DOS) programs but others refuse to accept that or rework it to
"c:\\comserver\hd..." which obviously doesn't work.
