That reminds me of what the mayor of New Orleans did post hurricane
Katrina. He sent the NOPD out to collect firearms, legit or not, on a
house-to-house search.  People in N.O. are sometimes slow to react to
things and given everything was upside-down at that time, they had to wait
for the water to be pumped out of the city before they could file a
lawsuit.  They won, of course, but that spoke volumes about what kind of
mayor they had.  The tragedy is that many of those who lawfully owned guns
never saw them again and the mayor overstepped his authority.

There are three weapons I'd like to have, even if they didn't work.  They
are military and are the B.A.R., the M1 Garand and the M1 carbine.  What a
shame dumping all of that stuff in the Pacific.

I have a s/s Colt 1991A1 Series 80 and a Glock model 21.  I like the way
the Glock feels in my hand and if you've ever held one and have large
hands, I think you'd feel the same.  Your Ruger is a double action, is it
not?

A LEO told me that, but I didn't believe him.  I'll find out for sure this

Probably.  I was standing next to her and noticed she didn't have much or a
recoil.  As a matter of fact, I was surprised at the recoil of the Glock
9M. I thought it would be like shooting a Luger 7.62M or a .22 pistol.  It
ascended on me during firing and as soon as the sights were lined up on the
target, I squeezed off another.  She was more deliberate and I was
overconfident.  (-:

Yep and if approached by a LEO, you have to tell them you're carrying and

Katrina, I was about a mile from where she lives now (Gray, LA).

It just seems to me his handlers would have told him long before now how
that looks.  What does it say to you when someone can't look you in the
eye?
