True, but when I had horses at home on an acreage, taking care of
them took all the spare time, and I got no riding done - had a
full time job and drove cab nights to make ends meet, too. So now
I am glad that Shemmeek is boarded out, and I can ride instead of
worry about having enough feed at home, keeping water tank
unfrozen, mending fences, hauling manure, trimming hooves, giving
shots, fixing barn, and all the rest.
I am thinking it would be fun to bring him home into the city for
a day and put up the electric fence tape around the front yard,
just for a lark; but it will be winter before I get silly enough
to try it. Just as well! I am not sure what the City bylaws have
to say about it, either.
Regards Emil
