Hi GazOo
G> Please tell me it's gonna get better real soon. "Real
G> Soon"!!! ;-)
G> +++++++++++++++++++
I've got some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that it's gonna get better real soon.
The bad news is I am a lier.
I don't know what program you are in, but that doesn't matter. The truth is
that recovery is progresive too. We didn't screw up our lives in a day and
we aren't going to straighten our lives out over night.
How fast things get better depends on how fast I am willing to make the
changes in my life that allow it to get better.
I am an alcoholic and how quickly I learned to live my life relying on God
dictated how fast I was able to recover. I hear the "promises" quoted at
many meeting I go to, but we tend to ignore the next line: "This thought
brings us to Step Ten"
The forward to the first edition of the BB says, "We, of Alcoholics
Anonymous, are more than one hundred men and women who have recovered from a
seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. To show other alcoholics
precisely how we recovered is the main purpose of this book."
BTW - I have a tape of a talk by Ruth Hock, Bills secretary. She says that
when Bill gave her that part of the manuscript to type, she told him, "but
Bill, there are only 97 of you."
His answer was, "I know. But, over one hundred sounds better."
God Bless
Make God laugh. Tell him your plans for today.
