ZS> Can I get some info On Buying/laws about M-16's?
First off, have LOTS of cash available as a true M-16 will run you into the
several thousands of dollars, =then= you'll need lots of spare cash to buy
ammo to feed it since a full-auto tends to get =real= hungry =real= fast.
:-) Second, have lots of TIME available since it will take several months,
usually over 6, for the paperwork to be processed and the background check to
be done. Oh, yeah, you have to actually =buy= the gun =first=, then send the
paperwork into the gov't. so your cash is tied up for that whole time.
=Some= of the laws include paying a $200 transfer tax to the gov't. on top of
the purchase price. Since you live in the socialist republic of NJ, they may
be completely banned as are the semi-auto versions of the M-16. You have to
get a local official to sign off on the paperwork which, in NJ, I'd say would
be near impossible. We're talking people like your local chief of police,
judge, county attorney, etc. These types of people can go back to the first
requirement above in that it may take several thousand more dollars to buy
one of the these officials off to get them to sign the paperwork. :-/
