i remember those days very well..... are you going to AA meetings in
your area, or just trying to tough it out on your own? if you are not, i
strongly urge you to do so. you will find a support system that is truly
amazing and will make the trials easier to bear and less frequent.
i used to sit at my AA club until 2:00 in the morning some nights, until
i knew i *couldn't* get a drink on the way home :) i didn't have to do
that for too very long or too often, but i did when i needed it.
so....... go to a meeting, buy a "big book" (they are only $5) and read
the first 164 pages. maybe you can do this alone, but why? the problem,
you will soon see, is not just putting the plug in the bottle, but
learning how to live and enjoy life without it! there are thousands of
people near you who have learned to do exactly that..... and are willing
to share the "secrets" of a happy, sober life with you :)
