Those particular dunderheads weren't employees of the company in the strict
sense -- they were the plan managers who recommended and sometimes were
overridden by our boss as to what they invested in.  Fortunately, none of
us lost any money we set aside for that, but I would have been sitting
pretty had that money been invested in some moneymaker like M$, which
wasn't around at the time.

I stayed as far away from politics as possible and my bosses at the
dealership in N.O. liked me and kept me from any harm coming my way. I kept
getting promoted because I did a good job and as I said, I liked what I was
doing.
