   0 MAh?  Try a volt reading.  A 6 cell NiCd pack should be discharged to 
   5.4 volts and then equalized with a 5 ohm resistor placed across each
   individual cell.  If the pack is a "stick" configuration, the 5.4 volt
   number is as good as can be done, since there isn't access to each
   cell, and disharging below that number may cause cell reversal.  I 
   understand what you mean about disharging to zero capacity, but one need
   not calculate amp-hour readings to maintain batteries.
