Well, I guess I have run into some of his more useful ones.
Back in the 60's, shrinks in Haight-Ashbury noted a peculiar form
of thinking among the hippie acid heads, where they saw the world
as a conspiracy- organized for their *benefit*, kind of an anti-
paranoia.
I have serendipitously run into so much shit that fits, that it
makes me wonder about the holodeck I am living on. Neitzsche and
Campbell and Wasson have given me such a new slant on the ancient
greek classics that it is like seeing in color what has only been
in black & white before. It is all so sernedipitous that it makes
me look for a conspiracy.
Campbell too talks about the masks of God; if you look at *all* of
these masks do you learn what is behind them? I sympathize with
a Neitzsche who would simply strip them away and confront the face
of God directly, accept the guilt for the violence, and submit to
the judgement willingly just to have the knowledge.
