Those two bands are well-known by the people in this echo.  Brand X was
going to be playing this year's Progfest, but the concert may be
cancelled.  It seems like I remember seeing a post in here about Gong
playing somewhere soon too.
I first tried Brand X because of Phil Collins.  I'd heard that he had
been in a jazzy kind of band at around the time of _Trick Of The Tail_
and I was intrigued.  I found _Livestock_ on LP first and bought it.  I
didn't much care for it at first, but now I love it.  "Nightmare Patrol"
is one of my favorite Brand X songs.  I've got all the 70s Brand X stuff
now and one of their 90s albums, _Xcommunication_, which is great.
I know much lessa about Gong, but I do really enjoy _You_.  Also, Steve
Hillage's _Fish Rising_ is fantastic.
