Oh really, my impression is that french is very defficult too. :) Maybe 
it's worser if your native langauge is Russian, because the language 
class is so different than other european languages. Afaik is Russian in 
the slavic language family which is pretty far from other european 
languages.

My native language, Danish is in the Germanian language family, which 
should be close the Romance language family where french belongs.

But they are all Indoeuropean languages, but that family covers pretty 
many languages. :)
