Dear Rick,
You said that you like to cook. Have you ever tried 'stained glass
cookies"? You cut out sugar cookies, Place them on foil. Then remove
sections from the interior, like those in a stained glass window. These
holes are then filled with broken pieces of clear lifesaver. Bake watching
closely. The results are amazing. Carefully peel the foil off the back.
If you will want to hang them besure to pierce before baking, or else use
clean string and put it through the candy hole before baking. The candy is
stronger than the cookie.
In reference to that 'wet' craft of yours. Yes, i surely do enjoy white
water canoing/rafting. but you won't find any of it in any of the W
Wisconsin River that i am familiar with. The Wisc. use to be a wild river
but now it is the hardest working river in the world [most kilowatts
produced per ft of river]. It is so full of dams that there is no place for
white water. There are several good white water rivers within 150 mile of
here. My favorite by far is the Flambo, in North Central Wisc.. I have
not done much wild river running in the last several years for lack of
anyone to do it with. Can i interest you?
     Shalom, ll
