subject: Look at memory!

I have an old copy of Checkit for DOS and it displays what is in
memory but not the code itself. For example, it says eg.
      0040 - 0050 BIOS
Does anyone know what register these values pertain to? I assumed
it was CS but when i tried to use Debug to see the code it wasn't
there at that address. I looked all over using Debug but can't find
that code. By the way, this code is used by my VESA video card to
enable its extended bios video capabilities. I'd like to see how
this is done. Has anyone out there used Checkit to view memory and
then searched for the code using Debug? Could some one tell me
at what register/address to look?
