Dwelling on blood and history is childish. We don't have to groom the new
generation (and people who are interest in betterment for the tech) with
animosity from the past.

Again.. I am sure there are many that don't care about the politics you mention
that have occurred in the past.  Myself included.

I concur.  And from what I've been reading here, that is already taking place. 
Additionaly, it is wonderful to be reminded that someone had the vision as
early as 1997 to start working on binkd that many here (even your ancient
politically scarred veterans) have adopted without further injuries.  ;)
