Green F1 fuel to set road car standard (21-Oct-98) - F1 has set the standard for clean fuel that Europe's car manufacturers will have to follow. The sport has introduced more stringent restrictions on the sulphur content in fuel for next season. This will become the EU road-car standard in 2005. F1 fuel will have to contain a maximum of 50 parts sulphur per million. That's a reduction of three-quarters from the previous level of 200 parts per million. F1's rulers decided they wanted to set a standard on the basis that F1's experimental fuels can be seen as the fuels of the future. --- Msged/386 4.20 beta 4* Origin: Blizzard of Ozz, Melbourne, Australia (3:635/728.4{at}fidonet) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 633/267 |
