It has been noted in here that SEAL takes total control of that section of SQUISH.CFG (by design) so it would not be surprising that SEAL would remove those lines if they did indeed appear after an EchoArea line. In fact, I might be mistaken, but I think either the docs or the whatsnew file states that you should not have anything you want to keep after the echoarea lines. ...
