no, not really. I have a tankful of cichlids including convicts,firemouth
severums, texas cichlids, salvinis, and a few others which I don't know the
proper names for. I think the important thing to do when buying cichlids is
to match the size of the fish you buy to the ones that are already in the
tank. This is my first attempt with fish other than guppies and goldfish, so
maybe someone else with more experience could help you more. I have to give
them credit though, they really take care of their young!
