Robby,

I run 2 telnet 'lines' for my Maximus OS/2 BBS. Here's what I use...

Internet Service Provider: Ricochet wireless (inexpensive in my area and
requires no phone line.)

Modem: Ricochet (for a normal dialup line, go as fast as your ISP supports)

Telephone line: I'm wireless, but any voice grade line will do. If this
is a business line you may have to pay by the minute for connect time.

Telnet server daemon: Vmodem - part of Ray Gwinn's excellent SIO package

PPP dialer: In-joy - many helpful features for an unattended dialer

Domain name server: Monolith - see www.ml.org

Domain name server update software - MLUP

Those are the main pieces - the rest is your ingenuity (and perspiration!) to
put the pieces together. BTW, be sure your ISP understands that you want a
full-time connection. Go for it!

                               Alan
